I thought I could manage on my own.
Maybe I should have done it earlier? But I was so tired. Fragile. I couldn’t see the end. The most important thing, I did it, eventually.
What happened afterward?
The burden transformed. Instead of being heavy on my shoulders, it was filled with resources. I had a map, a compass, a water bottle, and real good hiking boots!
When a new ascent appears before me, I still feel apprehensive, but I know I can make it.
I climbed, I conquered, I succeeded, they taught me, thank you.
